I recently ordered boutonnières from Huynh Events for my wedding and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish! This shop truly deserves all the praise it gets. The customer service was outstanding. They took the time to understand exactly what I wanted and offered great suggestions to make the boutonnières even more beautiful.
Joined for a Monday pullups session as a first timer and wow, love the hustle and community! Coach Carlos really knows where everyone is at with their fitness journey and kept a close eye on us new kids. Got some great tips on improving my form and felt that the workout was tailored to my capabilities. Appreciate the partner setup (partly to catch a break once in awhile) and super efficient workout that started and ended on time. Highly recommend :)
Did I just stumble to the best grandma slice I have ever had?! I was working nearby and was craving a small lunch, so what's better than a pizza slice! There was only one person working on a Monday lunch, so people were waiting to be seated, but the guy was hustling taking all the orders and making sure everyone was taken care of. I just wanted a slice to go, but didn't mind the wait to see the hype as I am always on the lookout for great pizza places! They mainly sold grandma pizzas by the slice. If you aren't aware, grandma has the crispness of a thin crust but some fluffiness you get from a pan or sicilian pizza. It's called grandma because it's basically making pizza in a thin tray. The classic is their regular marinara with cheese and basil. Oh my god it was so goooood!! Had that crisp, chewiness, and flavors were so on point. Marinara was to die for. I would highly recommend this place for a grandma slice! The vibe inside was really cool as well, half bar, half restaurant, with people working on their laptops in the restaurant while eating too! They also had movies playing on a projector and on old school TVs. I would highly recommend this place to try and will be back for sure!!!
Pricey is the only con. But food was amazing and loved that they have sampler options so everyone gets to try everything. This is a great spot for a business dinner or date night with a beautiful view of the water and bay bridge. Friendly service but food comes out slow. I recommend the ceviche sampler and the seafood sizzler!
I've been going to La Mar for a decade, but today was kind the idk moment. Their food is consistently good, there's always nice flavors, pretty presentations, and fresh ingredients. The ceviche is tender and delicious and I generally have an empanada sampler. There's a few mains that I've always turned to like their lomo saltado, semi-decent octopus, and the crab sandwich. Overall, today's experience kind of summed up the current state of dining affairs in SF. We were never brought an entree, drinks showed up incredibly late, and then I was brought another cocktail that I never ordered. Overall, there were multiple strikes by their staff. I rarely write negative reviews, but when the missing entree showed up on the bill, I was totally over it. Fortunately my guests enjoyed the food and I tried to make my frustrations unknown to my party. It'll be a while until I recommend this restaurant on the Embarcadero waterfront again to friends, clients and guests.
The service was great! But the food was just ok. I got the candy bacon and deep-fried french toast and the bacon wasn't cooked enough... very gummy and fatty. The French toast was kinda dry and just ok, not something id order again. However, I tasted my friends lemon ricotta pancake and instantly regretted not choosing pancakes for myself. Ambiance was ok... it feels sorta like a crowded lunchroom but it's comfortable.
As HUGE garlic fans, this is our favorite place to eat when we go to North Beach! We start with the Bagna Calda with bread (don't forget to ask for the Rose Relish.. you won't regret it!), Garlic potstickers & a yummy salad topped with a garlic vinaigrette & fresh crab.. For entree's we order the Seabass (covered in that delicious Garlic rose relish... it's green because it's made with lots of parsley too!) with zucchini mashed potatoes& the 40 clove garlic chicken! One word...DIVINE. The service is always top notch & I love the decor & ambiance! A true Little Italy treat!
